Hello, Kennett,

I like your blog, and shall read any succeeding blogs you write.

I felt enthusiastic when you mentioned chickens, but when you mentioned eating them, ah…my heart palpitated. I think that gathering eggs would be fun as well as a good source of protein, but I would feel sad about killing the poor creatures. I do remember, however, when both my grandmothers killed and cooked chickens. That was the only way they could get good fresh poultry. Bart approves your idea, however.

I wish you would come and visit us. What about Christmas?

OK Grandma, if you can do it I guess I can too. But growing up with twigs as floss must make regular floss seem like a luxury. See you next weekend for you birthday party. Oh, and now I know what to get you. Just so happens that I have some sitting in my room, unused of course.

Back in cavemen days first of all they didn’t eat junk food and sweets that get stuck in teeth. They chewed on bones and raw foods which would keep their teeth in better condition and they cleaned their teeth with twigs. At 80 years of age I am almost one of them so I know these things. I still have all my teeth even if every one is filled, but my teeth never bleed when cleaned and I do go very 6 months and floss whenever I remember to. love Granma

thanks for the compliment Tony. I do like the subject and I do like writing about it. I actually don’t know that much though compared to some people. Compared to Will, though, I know everything.

Grandma, you’re correct. It is the people. The most environmental thing, and beneficial thing to do for the world in general, is to kill yourself. The next is to have no children, and the third is to be vegan. I tried the third thing and failed. And I don’t plan on doing the first thing any time soon. So don’t expect any great grand children from me.

Not sure, Larry, since my powertap was out of commission for over a month of my peak condition in the spring when I did a lot of races. But I got the original 5 minute power goal and got close to the original 20′ power goal. Wasn’t even close to the 1 minute power, although I never did a 1 minute test. And I was off of the sprint power by over 100. Next year though…
